There are many rules like CPT® rules, NCCI rules, Medicare rules and more to consider when reporting cardiology procedures. There is a lot of confusion on how to code cardiology procedures, as many coders want to code by the service itself, and not the vessel treated. This Webinar is designed to speak to the new, intermediate and/ or seasoned coder about Cardiology Cath and interventional coding, billing and reimbursement. This session focuses on Cardiology procedural coding in the cath lab Terry, brings 25+ years of cardiology coding to the presentation, and her insights into being in the field and dealing with the application and workflows of this coding specialty on a daily basis. Terry will discuss CPT coding applications and modifiers, along with diagnoses linking for reimbursement success. Heart caths, injection procedures, stents, angioplasties and more will be the topic of coding education.

Expert Terry will also tell the Modifiers as it relates to this specialty to make sure denials are minimized. The presenter will also offer procedural reports to show live coding from the physician’s note. Terminology and heart structure language will also be included to help explain the why of these procedures being coded.
